Took surfing lessons through WRV! They have a great team! They got us scheduled with one day’s notice. My kids LOVED the lesson! They learned WAY faster than I expected. They were surfing by the end of their FIRST lesson… and one of my daughters has a motor impairment. Thanks especially to John! Awesome job—very patient, fun and “cool” according to my kids LOL. Also, when I asked for help with attire, they helped me find these PERFECT spring suits… great fit and very functional and well priced! I would recommend WRV lessons and surf shop products to EVERYONE.

Wave Riding Vehicles has been around for a long t while now, and withstood the test of time. Plenty of 🏄surfing🏄🏻‍♂️ related material. Also, skate and snowboard equipment as well. The live cam is a nice touch, and so are some of the great aesthetics of the shop. Full service for surf issues, and also a great tourist shop to get a little insight into surfing culture & great swag and memorabilia to purchase.

Easily The best staff at any surf shop in Va Beach. I’ve come 2 days in a row to take advantage of the 20% off after Christmas sale. I spent way too much (absolutely my fault bc I should have adult supervision with my credit card) but I love everything I purchased especially the Luggage, coffee cups, perfume, clothing etc - they’ve got it all - at good prices too.

Great shop to stop in and checkout. Store has a nice layout and tons of options for clothes, skating or surfing. My daughter also had to do an impromptu here as well. Lol

My 7yo niece Sophia just finished a week of their 2023 surf camp (week 3) and I am so happy I picked WRV for her to have this experience. All of the instructors and counselors were so nice and attentive. Brendon was great!! My niece learned so much on her first time that she now wants to continue learning to surf and take private lessons to work more on being able to stay standing to fully ride out waves. I’m just so thoroughly impressed by everything that I have already shared on my own social media that this is the place to come to for all of their needs and especially a surf camp. Thank y’all so much for the absolute amazing time this week :)

I literally love everything about this place and have been shopping here since I can remember. I’m also a Virginia Beach local that loves supporting local businesses. Today my friends and I came into do some quick shopping and I over heard one of the employees say “I’m going to go back upstairs keep an eye on red hat & white hats” and the other employee responded with “that’s what I’ve been doing”. That’s what color hats we were wearing. I confronted him about it as I was buying a tee shirt and he completely lied to me. Mind you my buddy was wearing a wrv hat and we all support this place and come shopping there once every couple months. Just rubbed me the wrong way like they thought we were gonna steal or something.

Got an excellent lesson for my 10 year old daughter and some tips on my sloppy technique from John who was an awesome dude and great teacher. Would definitely recommend them for lessons. Store is great too, found a good deal on a lightly used wetsuit for the kid.

5 stars for Maddie! She was so helpful. I went to a couple different surf shops looking for a wetsuit, and nobody else could be bothered. She took time to answer all my questions, and went over the top to help me order a size they didn’t have in stock. It’s been a while I felt like an employee cared, especially in the surf industry. Seriously, WRV if I had a company dealing with customer sales, I would do whatever it takes to offer her more money and hire her myself. Don’t ignore what you have, and do whatever it takes to pull her higher up in management. She deserves it. Thanks for everything!
